2010 - 2013

Started UX Design Career

Before becoming a UX Designer, I was a Software Engineer. I Co Founded a start up and while studying HCI (Human-Computer Interaction), shifted career to UX.

Got My First Corporate Job

After my startup failed, my mentor suggested to work in teams as a UX Designer. My first job was in a research center, where I was evaluating the usability of native Persian Search Engines

First Step Into Leadership

MTN was on a Digital Transformation mission. They had no in-house UX Design team. I joined an IT team of +70 Engineers as the only UX Designer (And the reason was my computer engineering background!).

I hired my first direct report (Saeid) and soon was leading a team of 2 in-house UX/UI Designers, and +10 UX/UI Designers who worked with MTN vendors.

Going Back To Entrepreneurship

I joined Digikala E-Commerce Group's innovation team, as a founding member of the Innovation Factory. My mission was to lead the enterprise Golden Triangle project that was shared across the group (Payment As A Service, Delivery As A Service, Sign In As A Service)

Founding DuxLab Academy

I started DuxLab Academy with a Telegram channel. At the beginning, it was about knowledge-sharing, but soon I got the requests to hold UX workshops & courses.

In my first workshop, only 5 people enrolled.

In 6 years, I had 3,000 graduates, and I was leading a team of 10 talented UX mentors, content creators, and marketers.

Founding DuxLab Agency

When I started the DuxLab Academy, I wasn't expecting to become self-employed.

At first, I was doing solo, freelance projects. Then, the traffic became so high, that I started hiring.

In 2 years, I was leading. a team of talented 15 UX/UI Designers, Brand Designers, and Researchers.

Moving To Berlin

I was under a lot of pressure, leading both the academy and the agency. I was working 24/7, 365!

My son was born, and I needed a break from entrepreneurship! So I took a full-time job and move with my family to Berlin.

From a hands-off head of design, I switched to a hands-on design lead.

Lay off!

In Feb 28th, 4:00pm, I was having a call with my manager to negotiate a salary raise. I got in the call, and saw our HRBP too.

I knew what was going on! I got laid off!

I spent 8 months, looking for a job. Applied to +200 jobs and went to the final interviews 4 times.

My visa was expiring and I was almost leaving Germany.

But suddenly, everything changed..

Back To Design Business Again

I took my last shot and started a design business. Since 2025, I've worked with 9 clients. I'm currently working with Behrad Mirafshar at Bonanza Studios as UX Strategist and Lead.

The other exciting part? In my 8 months job hunting, I created a system and helped 20 Product Designers in EU in their job hunting. They went from no interview with +60% interview conversion rate!

And I'm helping more UX Designers, Researchers, and Product Designers land jobs.
